Our Rumshines guide meets you at the Wadi Rum Resthouse at 10:00 am and then your trip itinerary is explained. All of our guides are local Bedouins with a lifetime of desert experience.
We then travel into the desert by jeep to Lawrence’s Spring, this is where Lawrence of Arabia is believed to have sought refreshment, you may choose to climb up to see the spring or simply enjoy the surrounding area and nearby rock inscriptions. We then journey onward to picturesque sand dunes which are hard work to climb up but great fun to run or sandboard down before continuing to the Anafashieh Inscriptions.
We then travel to the fertile Fig Valley for a short hike before stopping to enjoy lunch. Once refreshed we continue to Um Frouth Rock Bridge which you may choose to climb for some excellent photo opportunities. Next, we walk in the beautiful area near the border of Saudi Arabia before heading to our camp to experience the stunning Wadi Rum sunset.
At the camp you will experience a true Bedouin night filled with traditional food, sweet tea, singing, stories and dancing that will leave memories to last a lifetime.
You may choose to wake early to take in the sunrise before enjoying breakfast. We then travel to the Burdah Rock Bridge where you have the opportunity to hike to the top (approximately three hour round trip with some scrambling). Following this, we enjoy a well deserved lunch before heading back to Rum Village by jeep.
If you need to return at an earlier time in the morning we can arrange for you to travel by jeep to Rum Village after breakfast at 8am.
